Beyond shooting weddings (having done so for the past 7 years!), I'm also happy to be covering baby showers, maternity shots and family portraits. Here's a short session with Julius and family!

I like this as the colour's of baby's dress really pops!

Capturing's a baby's emotions can be harder than a bride's as a baby can smile and cry within seconds!!

Glass Chapel, Fireworks, Krug champagne, perfect weather, timeless sunset: The perfect ingredients for the 'perfect wedding'? You bet. I was fortunate enough to partake in a friend's wedding in Bali. Here's some of the shots over the few days!

Perspectives and colours in an art shop!One of my favourite places in the world - Kudeta Bali! The light is simply beautiful. It's a place to see and to be seen, yet people are unpretentious and genuinely want to have a good time. The fruit juices are fantastic too!

They must have been practising this, as they got it on the first attempt! Jetstar would be proud of them!

Had the pleasure to cover my cousin's wedding. And they have a white beetle, capable of going 'topless'! Here's a passing panning shot in the tunnels, love the curves of the image!

"The groom kisses the toad and becomes the prince" - Huh? Well, the first time I have ever seen this! Cruelty to animals? (Or cruelty to the groom?)

I believe it can't get any simpler and it really helps a couple scan through a website quickly if its clean/super fast/simple/cool! The year of 2007

What a 2007!!! And I haven't blogged for 7mths! The past 2 mths have been really crazy with a million things going on at the same time. Many many thanks to all the brides and grooms for making the last parts of 2007 so memorable! Here're some images of the past 2 mths. N-joy...I really love this red bouquet. This is why I enjoy covering weddings, to see such a perfect bouquet at times. Great work, Justin! (do beep me for his contact if you like his work!)
Another favorite of 2007, all technicallities in placed and finally the candid moment! who says you can't have great shots in a HDB?

The mother of all manicures I've seen!! Bride could not use chopsticks nor play mahjong (yes! There was couple of hours of time for it).
Love the light, fabric of the gown!

A sudden moment, a flock of pigeons just decided to fly past. I had to react within a heartbeat to set my camera almost touching the floor and snapped, fortunately the angle worked perfectly and here you see a few of the pigeons + great expressions of the bride & mom! Priceless!!!

Every march-in is different and it gets my andrenalin up not knowing how the lights are going to be, how fast the couple is going to walk, how the audience are going react. Here one of the guests was throwing plastic-like confetti at the ...groom! A jealous old flame?...with a video camera as proof as-if: "In your face, you *****!!!".

Here's one of my favourite 'toast' shots, as instead of the usual pouring of the champange onto the glass fountain, the couple look great and relaxed against the very nice backdrop of Hyatt!

What a way to end 2007!

And really looking forward to start shooting 2008 on the high!

Wedding by the Sea

One of my buddies, Weelin, finally got hitched! After a 8 yr relationship with Jiaxuan, the pair of docs finally got together! Woot! Was part of his entourage for the entire day, taking care of 'major' matters. Had much fun with everybody! Belinda, Weepin, Yeowtong, Derrick and the rest of the guys! Here's some shots which I snapped along the way.....do view 'em while the youtube video loads!

Ah...can post anything I want. Some shots from a recent wedding!

Absolutely love this shot, the colours are all there.....via the pink roses beneath!!

Trying out desaturated colours on a colour palette, interesting yeah?

In between dishes at the dinner, kids having a ROYAL RUMBLE!!! Did a slow shutter and this kid who loves to pose was willing to hold still for like 0.3 seconds..and..Viola!

One of the few times I've seen kids doing Yum Seng on the stage...and these were....priceless!!!

A tri-story in one picture....and yes..it's that kid who loves to pose!

Another desaturated shot, with the glut of mobile phones with integrated camera function, I had to jostle for space! (The 'chopped off' face of the couple was delibrate as the focus of this shot was on the Photographers!)

A more informal posting of pictures that I'd prefer to post here than my main site at www.perqjon.com, where 'complete' galleries of couples are more often presented. I also didn't want to choke up my personal blog at http://perqjon.blogspot.com. Hence fiddling through tons of blogger address, I've found one that's not taken up!! Let us fall in love!
